How teaser pricing works

A telehealth provider advertises $99–$149 monthly. The advertised rate applies only to the 0.25 mg starter dose, which patients use for approximately 4 weeks. As the patient titrates to 0.5 mg, 1.0 mg, 1.7 mg, and finally 2.4 mg over the next 12–16 weeks, the monthly cost steps up. By the time the patient reaches maintenance dose, the monthly bill commonly sits at $250–$400.
